Wednesday Grannies - A Christmas Gift

Hello everyone! For this week's granny square challenge, I am featuring the first of my Christmas makes - or at least the beginning of it - destined to be a gift. It's currently in its early stages, but it's relatively small so should be done rather quickly (well, I hope so, anyway!).

Here goes:
